For the last step of our process, we created visual programs for Shruberish. These promotional programs will encourage customers to visit your store and increase your profit. I think these three items will not only encourage loyal members to continue to use Shruberish but it will also help entice new customers.

Direct Mail
Most people are sold when they believe they are saving money…..with direct mailings you can mention the upcoming sales and the benefits of using your loyalty card. When sending the direct mailer every month, Shruberish will not only list the sale items but also include a list of things that should done in the yard that month (i.e. cover your flowers, add fertilizer, etc) and how to do it. By doing this, it will entice the customer to remember to do these things, which should include having them purchase the items needed at your store.

Promotion Email
People are more responsive to using promotional email since they asked to be included on the email listing. These emails can list the sales and upcoming events and also list the benefits of using the loyalty cards. While designing the promotional email, we thought it was important to not only add promotions but also encourage the users to go to the website. Since the company is not only a store front but also has web sales, this would encourage business from both avenues. Also, encouraging them to look at the website will encourage them to visit upcoming workshops or sales, which in return would gain more sales for Shruberish.

Loyalty Card
Using a loyalty card will encourage your customers to not only shop at your store but also spend lots of money. When customers know that their purchases are being totaled up and they will get a percentage of that total back or a discount, they tend to spend more. Having the loyalty card will not only promote sales but it will also give you a great avenue to see what is being purchased. This will allow you to review what is selling and what is not selling. From there you can try new ways to promote other items to sell.
