Background

For the next step of our process, we gathered images to describe how to represent Shruberish.

To describe the mood and tone of Shruberish, we have chosen to use warm colors in the color scheme of greens, oranges and browns with contrasting colors. When determining which images to use for Shruberish, we feel that using images with grass, landscape, rock garden or waterfalls will help customers understand what kind of company you are. It will show them some of the things your company has to offer. These types of images, along with some flowers will help the audience view your services.

When gathering and taking pictures to represent Shruberish, we used the following guidelines:

  • Keep the mood and tone set – warm color scheme, lots of green grass, trees, etc.
  • Capture bright colors from the flowers to represent the nursery side of the business.
  • Focus in on the blades of grass, a single leaf, a single bloom, flower, etc.
  • Do not use black and white for photos, we want to show color and a lot of it
  • Capture a waterfall to represent the water garden section of the business – make sure to get a whole image with water plants, rocks, etc.
  • Capture a finished landscaping job - make sure to get a whole image with the grass, trees, shrubs, etc.
